Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility is strongly connected with the principles of sustainability and continuous development and growth of the people. At TKIL Industries Pvt. Ltd. , the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been an integral part of the way we have been doing our business since inception. For several years, TKIL Industries Pvt. Ltd. CSR initiatives has played a pivotal role in improving the lives of the communities and society at large in and around our operations and project sites with an objective to energize, involve and enable them to realize their potential. This has also enabled us to fulfil our commitment to be a socially responsible corporate citizen.
To attain its CSR objectives in a professional and integrated manner, the company shall be working for one or more of the following activities relating to-
- Eradicating hunger, poverty and malnutrition
- Promoting the preventive health care and sanitation and making available safe drinking water, disaster relief activities
- Promoting education, employment enhancing vocation skills especially among children, women, elderly, and the differently abled and their livelihood enhancement
- Promoting gender equality and empowering women
- Setting up homes and hostels for women and orphans; setting up old age homes, day care centres and such other facilities for senior citizens and measures for reducing inequalities faced by socially and economically backward groups
- Ensuring environmental sustainability, ecological balance, animal welfare, agroforestry
- Renewable energy projects
- Conservation of natural resources and maintaining quality of soil, air and water
- Protection of national heritage, art and culture
- Promotion and development of traditional arts and handicrafts
- Measures for the benefit of armed forces veterans, war widows and their dependents
- Promoting sports
- Contribution to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund or any other fund set up by the Central Government for Socio-economic development and relief and welfare of the Scheduled Caste, the Scheduled Tribes, other backward classes, Minorities and Women
- Contributions or funds provided to technology incubators located within academic institutions which are approved by the Central Government
- Supporting rural development
Implementation of CSR activities
To implement the Company’s CSR objectives, Company will focus on all the relevant areas as the CSR Committee deems fit and proper with an intent to fulfil such commitment and monitor and administer the same.
Governance
Every year, the CSR Committee will place for the Board’s approval, a CSR Plan delineating the CSR Programmes to be carried out during the financial year and the specified budgets thereof. The Board will accordingly consider and approve the CSR Plan with modifications, if any. CSR activities will be reported in the Annual Report of the Company.
CSR Expenditure
CSR expenditure will include all expenditure, direct and indirect, incurred by the Company on CSR Programmes undertaken in accordance with the approved CSR Plan. Any surplus arising from any CSR Programmes shall be used only for CSR purposes. Accordingly, any income arising from CSR Programmes will be netted off from the CSR expenditure and such net amount will be reported as CSR expenditure.
General
Any or all provisions of the CSR Policy would be subject to revision / amendments in accordance with the guidelines / notifications / circulars / orders / rules as may be issued from Government, from time to time.
The Company reserves the right to modify, cancel, add or amend any provisions of the policy as mentioned hereinabove.
